from 'attributes', 2011, reissued 2025

play-

day by day

graves vibrate a little less

the children play upon fresh grass

===

betrayal-

some exist too much

there is too much death

in their silences

the mirror betrays their night

===

ever-

the stones crack under the night's sky

this desert is bone dust ashen

the ruptures gather as fragrant words

ever garotted by nothingness

===

act-

meat slavery that I do not want

bone immodesty I piss blindly into night

something else will never be

I must act accordingly

===

ending-

haven

dredge spit to look is to tear out the eyes

& that is before

the worst possible ending ensues

===

as if-

anguish rarely changes its colouring

against which joy pisses itself

as if it were freedom

===

close-

the roving eye

steel drawn in incommunicable light

a bell chimes in the skull like trinket

the curtains draw to a close

===

nothing-

never to have seen elsewhere

or some other absence

the sky will suffice

nothing should ever suffice

===

rupture-

sometimes the laughter

spits flame ash and blood
& in that rupture

anguish ever ready for our silence

===

not-

distant

somewhere somewhere else

the seas break beneath the sky

& you are alone

remember that you bleed breathe

no it is not enough
==

you can get it here
